SLICE! Dynamic percussion duo SLICE (the Scott Lumsdaine / Ian Cape Experience) combines the versatile talents of two up and coming percussionists, who formed the duo in 2005 whilst studying together at the Royal Academy of Music.
In addition to concert recitals, SLICE! provide a unique musical sound for weddings, receptions and other functions.

Scott Lumsdaine was born in Edinburgh and studied at the RSAMD Junior Department from the age of fifteen, before being offered the James Blades/Aldeburgh Award to study at the Royal Academy of Music from 2004. Graduating in 2004 with the Hugh Fitch Prize, he was then awarded a Fellowship for the 2008-9 academic year.
Scott works extensively with orchestras and ensembles around Britain, including the London Symphony, London Philharmonic, City of Birmingham Symphony and Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestras. He has also appeared with English Touring Opera and as a regular guest player with the Aurora Orchestra.
He is a member of the octet Tablature in a project led by tabla virtuoso and producer Kuljit Bhamra, has performed as a duo with Joe Locke, and premiered the Eric Sammut vibraphone concerto Sailing for Phil.
